Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

2. The short version

• You can read all of Upzo without an account, without giving us your name or email, and without accepting cookies.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site trackers.
• Links to shops tell the shop that you came from Upzo. They do not pass on anything about you.

3. What we process

• Technical request data: when your browser loads a page, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the page requested. It uses this to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse.
• Your theme choice: if you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your own browser. It is never sent to us.
• Messages you send us: if you email us, we keep your email address and what you wrote, so we can answer and keep a record of corrections and requests.
• Staff account records: Upzo no longer has any sign-in, for visitors or staff. The records of the staff accounts created before it was turned off stay in our database.

4. Why we process it, and on what basis

• To deliver the site and keep it secure: our legitimate interest.
• To answer your messages and correct the site: our legitimate interest, or steps you asked us to take.
• To keep records the law requires: our legal obligation.

5. Who processes data for us

• Vercel: hosting and delivery of the website.
• Neon: the database that stores the staff account records.
• Google: the email account where we receive your messages.

When you follow a link to another website, including a shop, that website's own privacy policy applies to what it collects.

6. How long we keep it

• Technical request data: as long as our hosting provider keeps its logs, which is a short period set by that provider.
• Messages you send us: up to three years, or less if you ask us to delete them.
• Staff account records: while the person works on Upzo.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop processing it. Write to upzousa@gmail.com. We aim to answer within 24-48 hours, and in any case within the period the law requires.

8. Children

Upzo is intended for adults. We do not knowingly process personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Our providers are located in the United States and may process data in other countries. Where a transfer leaves your country, it is covered by the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes to this policy

Each version of this policy carries a date. When we change it, we publish the new version with a new date, and every earlier version stays readable from the legal index.
