What it found
After abdominal surgery, 78% of a test meal stayed in the stomach with vehicle versus 52% with ipamorelin 0.014 µmol/kg (44% in rats without surgery). In isolated stomach tissue, ipamorelin and ghrelin restored contractions that surgery had weakened.
Limitations
Male rats; short-term measurement 15 minutes after the meal.
