Doping control analysis of TB-500, a synthetic version of an active region of thymosin β4, in equine urine and plasma by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry
Ho EN, Kwok WH, Lau MY, et al. Journal of Chromatography A 2012;1265:57-69.
What it found
A horse-racing lab developed a test that detected the TB-500 fragment and its breakdown products in horse blood and urine at very low concentrations, and confirmed it in samples from horses given one dose.
Limitations
Horses; a drug-testing method study, not a study of effects. It describes TB-500 as a veterinary preparation.
