The effect of tripeptide-copper complex on human hair growth in vitro

Pyo HK, Yoo HG, Won CH, et al. Archives of Pharmacal Research 2007;30:834-839.

What it found

AHK-Cu made human hair follicles grow longer outside the body and increased the growth of dermal papilla cells. At 10^-9 M it raised the Bcl-2/Bax ratio and lowered cleaved caspase-3 and PARP; the fall in apoptotic cells was not statistically significant.

Limitations

Lab study on isolated follicles and cultured cells only; no animals or people. The only published study of AHK-Cu itself that we could find, and not independently repeated.
