Peptide promotes overcoming of the division limit in human somatic cell

Khavinson VKh, Bondarev IE, Butyugov AA, et al. Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine 2004;137:503-506.

What it found

Ageing human fetal lung fibroblasts treated with epitalon regained telomere length similar to younger cells and made 10 extra divisions beyond the point where untreated cells stopped, and kept dividing.

Limitations

Cell culture only, from the same group. Extending cell division in a dish is not the same as slowing ageing in a body, and unlimited division is also a feature of cancer cells.
