AEDG Peptide (Epitalon) Stimulates Gene Expression and Protein Synthesis during Neurogenesis: Possible Epigenetic Mechanism

Khavinson V, Diomede F, Mironova E, et al. Molecules 2020;25:609.

What it found

In human gingival stem cells, epitalon increased the expression of four markers of nerve-cell development by 1.6 to 1.8 times. Computer modelling suggested it may bind histone proteins that interact with DNA.

Limitations

Cell culture and computer modelling only. The histone-binding mechanism is a prediction, not a measured result.
