In vitro

Human skin retention and penetration of a copper tripeptide in vitro as function of skin layer towards anti-inflammatory therapy

Hostynek JJ, Dreher F, Maibach HI. Inflammation Research 2010;59:983-988.

What it found

Copper from the tripeptide crossed dermatomed human skin (136.2 µg/cm2 over 48 hours) and a further 82 µg/cm2 stayed in the skin as a depot.

Limitations

Skin samples outside the body, measuring copper rather than the intact peptide. Does not show any effect on skin.
