Investigating the detection of the novel doping-relevant peptide kisspeptin-10 in urine using liquid chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometry

Colpaert T, Risseeuw M, Deventer K, et al. Biomedical Chromatography 2024;38:e5946.

What it found

The authors validated screening and confirmation tests for kisspeptin-10 in urine and identified four breakdown fragments formed in human serum. A black-market vial contained no unexpected impurities but was more degraded than a reference standard, possibly through oxidation.

Limitations

Analytical method study. One black-market vial tested, so it says little about product quality in general.
