A bolus raised LH similarly in 5 men with type 2 diabetes and low testosterone and in 7 healthy men. In 4 men with diabetes, an 11-hour infusion raised LH (3.9 to 20.7 IU/L), LH pulse frequency and testosterone (8.5 to 11.4 nmol/L).
Limitations
Proof-of-concept study with 5 men with diabetes (4 in the infusion part). Single session; no clinical outcomes.
