Using Kisspeptin to Predict Pubertal Outcomes for Youth With Pubertal Delay

Chan YM, Lippincott MF, Sales Barroso P, et al. Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism 2020;105:e2717-e2725.

What it found

All 8 children whose LH rose by 0.8 mIU/mL or more after kisspeptin later went through puberty; all 8 with a rise of 0.4 mIU/mL or less reached 18 without signs of puberty. The kisspeptin test predicted outcomes better than GnRH testing, inhibin B or genetic testing.
