What it found
Precursor study (NMN). In postmenopausal women with prediabetes and overweight or obesity, insulin-stimulated glucose uptake and muscle insulin signalling increased with NMN but not with placebo.
Limitations
Small (13 on NMN, 12 on placebo), women only, 10 weeks. Did not measure longer-term health outcomes.
