NAD⁺ supplementation for anti-aging and wellness: A PRISMA-guided systematic review of preclinical and clinical evidence
Gallagher C, Emmanuel OO. Ageing Research Reviews 2026;116:103057.
What it found
Of 113 studies (33 in humans, 80 in rodents), oral NR and NMN reliably raised NAD-related levels in blood and were generally well tolerated, but effects on function, metabolism and other health outcomes were mixed and often null. No eligible outcome trial tested intravenous or intramuscular NAD+ itself.
Limitations
Covers studies up to October 2025. Pooling was limited by differences between studies.
